Senior Attorney with commercial litigation experience

A reputable law firm in New York City is seeking a Senior Attorney with commercial litigation experience to join its team. This position involves handling complex litigation matters with a focus on consumer finance, mortgage foreclosure, and commercial disputes. Duties:

• Research case details, analyze evidence, and review client documentation and previously filed pleadings
• Interpret case law and judicial decisions to determine their impact on ongoing cases
• Draft defensive motions, including motions for protective orders and motions to quash
• Prepare pleadings, motions, legal memorandums, and settlement agreements
• Advocate diligently for clients' rights and interests throughout litigation

Requirements:

• Licensed attorney in the State of NY
• 7 years of experience in commercial litigation
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team setting
• High level of motivation and ability to work independently
• Professional demeanor and business acumen

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed Attorney in NY (admission to additional states is a plus)
