Job Overview: A distinguished law firm based in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney specializing in Venture and Growth matters. This role is focused on representing lenders in commercial finance transactions, particularly for clients in the technology, life sciences, and middle-market sectors. Duties:

• Represent banks and private credit funds in complex loan transactions.
• Draft and review legal documents and agreements related to commercial finance.
• Collaborate with legal teams, business professionals, and clients to deliver timely, high-quality work.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, lawyers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Attend virtual and in-person meetings as necessary.
• Comply with firm policies and procedures while upholding professional ethics and standards.
• Handle additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in lender-side commercial finance representation.
• Proven experience working with financial institutions or private credit funds on loans to technology, life sciences, or middle-market companies.
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and efficiently.
• Experience at a top-tier law firm, particularly within the AmLaw 100, is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• An active member of the Maryland State Bar.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland or eligible for immediate admission.
