Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in labor and employment law matters, including but not limited to wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and workplace safety issues.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of labor and employment law cases, handling all aspects from initial consultation to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide informed legal advice.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, arbitration, and court proceedings.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal and state labor laws, regulations, and employment practices.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates, strategic recommendations, and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to build and execute case strategies.
  • Stay informed about changes in labor and employment law and industry trends to provide up-to-date advice and representation.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 8 years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas.
  • Proven track record of managing and advancing labor and employment law cases effectively.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated client management and relationship-building skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Texas State Bar license.
