A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation/Employment Law Attorney for its Houston office. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of litigation experience, with a focus on employment litigation and commercial litigation. This position is partnership track, offering excellent opportunities for career advancement in a dynamic and professional environment. The role also offers the chance to work across a variety of industries, including oil and gas, construction, and real estate, with some personal injury defense work.

Duties

  • Represent clients in employment litigation, commercial litigation, and personal injury defense.
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, and hearings independently.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and other correspondence.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal counsel to clients in industries such as oil and gas, construction, real estate, and others.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys on complex litigation matters.
  • Manage and build client relationships to foster ongoing legal representation.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of litigation experience, with a focus on employment and commercial litigation.
  • Proven experience with depositions, mediations, and hearings.
  • Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Ability to handle complex litigation matters independently and in a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
