The role involves conducting investigations, assisting in policy development, and ensuring regulatory compliance for institutions addressing issues related to harassment, discrimination, and abuse.

Duties

• Conduct investigations involving:
  • Title IX, Title VI, and Title VII matters.
  • Civil rights or criminal laws related to harassment, discrimination, and abuse.
• Assist institutions and agencies with:
  • Trauma-informed prevention and resolution processes.
  • Development of policies, procedures, and educational materials.
• Provide regulatory compliance guidance, including expertise in:
  • Title IX.
  • The Clery Act.
  • Child protection frameworks.
• Support organizations with:
  • Safety and security systems design.
  • Policy infrastructure.
  • Governance issues.
• Travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities.

Requirements

• Licensed attorney in the state of Utah.
• Extensive experience with:
  • Title IX and related compliance.
  • Civil rights or criminal law involving harassment, discrimination, and abuse cases.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active law license in Utah.
