A law firm in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Mid-level Financial Restructuring Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in corporate restructuring and complex commercial bankruptcy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance transactions, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and outstanding academic credentials. Prior experience may include a Bankruptcy Court clerkship. Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with corporate restructuring and bankruptcy matters, including complex commercial cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to financial restructuring and bankruptcy.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and analysis on financial and bankruptcy issues.
  • Advise clients on strategies for restructuring, bankruptcy proceedings, and debt management.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop and execute restructuring plans.
  • Represent clients in Bankruptcy Court and other relevant legal forums.
  • Manage multiple cases and projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.
  • Stay informed about current trends and developments in financial restructuring and bankruptcy law.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate restructuring and complex commercial bankruptcy.
  • Prior experience in finance transactions is encouraged.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Experience with a Bankruptcy Court clerkship is a plus.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred.
