A law firm is seeking a highly qualified Energy and Infrastructure Finance Associate Attorney to join their Houston office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in syndicated and leveraged finance transactions within the Energy and Infrastructure industry. This role requires strong analytical abilities, top academic credentials, and experience in drafting complex financing documents, managing real property, UCC, and security interest issues, and supervising junior associates. The successful candidate will possess excellent client-relations skills and be admitted or eligible for admission to the Texas Bar.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in syndicated and leveraged finance transactions, working with agents, lenders (commercial banks and/or direct lenders), private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers in the Energy and Infrastructure sector.
  • Draft and review complex financing documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage and resolve complicated real property, UCC, and security interest issues.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to junior associates, ensuring high-quality work and professional development.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering strategic legal advice and solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to address complex finance and infrastructure legal matters.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and legal developments affecting energy and infrastructure finance.
  • Manage multiple transactions and cases efficiently, adhering to deadlines and client expectations.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in syndicated and leveraged finance transactions, particularly within the Energy and Infrastructure industry.
  • Proven experience working with agents, lenders, private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers.
  • Strong analytical skills and top academic credentials.
  • Excellent client-relations skills with the ability to handle complex finance and infrastructure issues.
  • Experience in drafting complex financing documents and managing real property, UCC, and security interest issues.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor junior associates.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar or eligibility for admission (required).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar License in Texas (required) or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Expertise in syndicated and leveraged finance transactions.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing complex financing documents.
