Job Overview: A reputable law firm based in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Workers' Compensation and Medicare Compliance Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of relevant experience. This role offers the opportunity to work within the firm's growing Medicare Compliance group, providing legal consultation and guidance on matters related to workers’ compensation and Medicare compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, writing, and communication skills to the team, helping to manage complex case issues, ensure compliance, and work towards favorable case resolutions.

Duties:

  • Consult with employers, adjusters, and attorneys on Medicare issues related to workers' compensation and defense litigation.
  • Educate clients on the proper handling of Medicare set-asides.
  • Provide strategic advice to attorneys on case resolution, including the use of structured settlements.
  • Perform conditional payment searches and draft Medicare language for settlement documents.
  • Prepare and submit Medicare set-asides for approval.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in workers' compensation or Medicare compliance law.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare issues, particularly within the context of workers' compensation cases.
  • Ability to draft and review legal documents, including settlement agreements.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing and interpreting legal documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, adjusters, and attorneys.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
