Job Title: Entry-Level Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a newly admitted attorney to join its immigration practice. This entry-level role is ideal for a motivated legal professional aiming to gain substantial courtroom experience, contribute to meaningful immigration work, and grow within a dynamic legal environment. The attorney will handle both detained and non-detained immigration matters, represent clients in removal proceedings, and work closely with a supportive team of legal professionals.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on immigration matters and offer tailored legal solutions

  • Appear before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals on behalf of clients

  • Manage a personal docket of immigration cases from intake through resolution

  • Conduct intake interviews with individuals held in detention facilities

  • Draft and file various immigration petitions, including family-based and removal defense applications

  • Review and revise immigration filings for accuracy and completeness

  • Provide legal updates and collaborate with external organizations and government entities

  • Conduct strategy sessions and client consultations for case assessments

  • Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews and court appearances

  • Write legal briefs and supporting documentation for case filings

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing immigration law

  • Ability to independently manage cases and court appearances

  • Strong collaborative attitude with a willingness to contribute to team initiatives

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues

  • Familiarity with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, detained/removal defense, naturalization, and related immigration processes

  • Experience using immigration case management software is preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

  • Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. state or territory
