A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join its dynamic legal team. This position primarily involves handling general litigation matters, with a preference for candidates experienced in medical malpractice. The ideal professional will have substantial experience in a mid-sized or large firm setting and a passion for engaging directly with clients while managing all facets of litigation.

Duties

  • Manage a diverse caseload of general litigation matters, including but not limited to medical malpractice cases.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare motions and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Engage in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and appeals.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and legal support staff to ensure timely and effective case resolution.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and updates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in litigation, preferably at a mid-sized or large law firm.
  • Demonstrated experience in medical malpractice cases is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing all aspects of litigation independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active and in good standing with the relevant state bar association.
