The successful candidate will handle a range of insurance defense cases, including bodily injury defense, construction defect, and employment matters. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with substantial independence and client interaction.

Duties:

  • Draft motions, conduct depositions, and represent clients in oral arguments and hearings.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage client relations effectively.
  • Independently handle appearances and case assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Provide timely legal advice and reports to clients.
  • Manage a varied caseload, ensuring cases progress efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Valid license to practice law in California (additional licensure in other states is a plus).
  • 3-12+ years of experience in insurance defense, including bodily injury defense, construction defect, and employment law.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload.
  • Experience in litigation and a passion for client service.

Education:

  • Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • California Bar license is required.

  • Insurance defense litigation expertise, especially in bodily injury, construction defect, and employment-related matters.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Proficient in legal research, writing, and document drafting.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues with minimal supervision.
