The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in workers' compensation law and a deep understanding of workers' compensation procedures. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases, representing injured workers in various claims
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their workers' compensation claims
  • Handle all aspects of the workers' compensation process, including filing claims, attending hearings, and negotiating settlements
  • Research, analyze, and interpret workers' compensation laws and regulations
  • Draft and file necessary legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and colleagues to ensure case progression
  • Supervise and guide team members as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in workers' compensation law
  • Strong knowledge of workers' compensation law and procedures
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage a caseload
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar License
