Complex Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Complex Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills, with the ability to work independently and handle complex cases.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Assist senior attorneys in all phases of litigation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar and in good standing.
• 2-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in complex commercial litigation.
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle multiple cases and tasks simultaneously.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Judicial clerkship experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent academic credentials demonstrating top-tier performance.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in electronic discovery and litigation technology tools.
• Familiarity with procedural rules and practices in federal and state courts.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
