Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a variety of complex employment law cases, including litigation, regulatory compliance, and advisory services for clients.
  • Represent clients in employment disputes, including wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, and class action lawsuits.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel on employment matters, including drafting and reviewing employment policies, contracts, and handbooks.
  • Advise clients on risk management strategies to help avoid litigation and ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws.
  • Oversee all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by providing effective legal advice tailored to their business goals and compliance needs.
  • Engage in business development activities to expand the firm’s employment practice, identifying opportunities for growth and building a strong client base.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, contributing to their development and the overall success of the firm’s employment law team.
  • Meet the 1,900 billable hours minimum, with the opportunity to earn additional compensation for hours worked beyond that threshold.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 8+ years of employment law experience, with a strong background in litigation, compliance, and advisory services.
  • Proven ability to manage complex employment cases, including individual and class actions.
  • A portable book of business is a plus but not required.
  • Expertise in handling various employment disputes, including wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and practical legal counsel that aligns with client business needs.
  • Experience building and maintaining client relationships, with a focus on delivering high-quality service.

Educational Background:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Additional certifications in employment law or related fields are beneficial but not mandatory.
