Duties

  • Handle personal injury defense and trucking/transportation litigation matters.
  • Provide timely and efficient client service, ensuring high-quality representation.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
  • Prepare and argue motions and attend hearings.
  • Take depositions, attend trials, and manage cases from start to finish.
  • Explain complex legal principles to clients and stakeholders in an understandable manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide effective legal strategies and solutions.
  • Manage a caseload of varying complexity and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasionally travel locally and statewide as necessary for client meetings, hearings, or depositions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant civil litigation experience, with a preference for personal injury defense and transportation litigation experience.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters with a high level of client service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to clients and non-experts.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
