Job Overview:
A well-regarded law firm located in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an experienced Employment & Labor Relations Associate to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with a background in employment law, including experience with employment-related litigation, compliance, and a variety of workplace-related legal issues. The successful candidate will be joining a collaborative environment and will have the opportunity to support clients across a wide range of employment matters.

Duties:

• Manage employment-related litigation, including handling EEOC charges, discrimination claims, and responses to local and federal agencies.
• Draft dispositive motions and manage discovery processes in employment litigation cases.
• Advise clients on a variety of employment issues, including the creation and revision of employee handbooks and workplace policies.
• Ensure client compliance with state, federal, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Assist in navigating employment disputes involving the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Ohio State Employment Relations Board (SERB).
• Provide legal counsel on workplace practices to ensure alignment with ever-evolving employment laws.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in employment law.
• Experience in handling employment litigation and responding to government agency charges, such as the EEOC.
• Demonstrated experience drafting legal documents, including motions and employee handbooks.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in Ohio or eligible for admission.

Skills:

• Strong litigation skills with a focus on employment law.
