The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in construction law, litigation, or government contracting. This position involves representing both public and private owners, general contractors, and engineers across a wide range of legal tasks, including pre-project planning, risk assessment, contract drafting, claim management, and litigation of disputes.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in the construction and design sectors, including public and private owners, general contractors, and engineers.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, and provide guidance on pre-project planning and risk management.
  • Manage and preserve claims related to construction projects.
  • Litigate construction-related disputes and represent clients in various forums.
  • Advise clients on compliance with construction law and government contracting regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on complex construction matters.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in construction law, litigation, or government contracting.
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and case management abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington State Bar or eligibility to apply.

Skills:

  • Expertise in construction law, government contracting, and litigation.
