Job Overview

A prestigious law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with extensive experience in civil litigation, particularly in products litigation or managing a high volume of complex cases. This role involves leading case strategy, handling intricate litigation matters, and working within a dynamic legal team.

Duties

• Oversee all stages of litigation, from case initiation to trial.

• Develop and execute strategic approaches for managing a significant caseload.

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and briefs.

• Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing.

• Manage discovery processes, including depositions and e-discovery platforms.

• Advocate in court proceedings, including Federal Court appearances (preferred but not required).

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide strategic legal counsel.

• Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions when applicable.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of general civil litigation experience.

• Strong background in product litigation or handling a high volume of litigation cases.

• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently, from inception through trial.

• Excellent research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and e-discovery platforms.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
