Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an experienced and dedicated Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in defending and litigating employment-related claims, providing counsel on labor law issues, and representing employers in various legal settings. This role requires a strong understanding of employment law, excellent academic credentials, and the ability to provide strategic advice and training to employers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitrations in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and engage in discovery processes.
• Participate in and conduct depositions, pre-trial motions, trials, and hearings.
• Assist with the development and implementation of effective litigation strategies.
• Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and trends in employment law to provide accurate and timely counsel.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive and comprehensive legal representation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Current Pennsylvania Bar admission in good standing.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience, with a strong preference for candidates with an employment law background.
• Class action experience is a plus.
• Understanding of current state and federal agency procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
