Senior Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview
A prominent civil litigation firm specializing in plaintiff-side personal injury and school/government liability cases is seeking a Senior Personal Injury Attorney. This position offers an opportunity to focus on case strategy, professional development, and trial participation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in personal injury litigation, including depositions, motions, and discovery. In this role, the Senior Attorney will be supported by lead attorneys and given opportunities for continued mentorship, skill development, and career growth. Trial work is expected but will be phased in as the attorney gains experience.

Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters in litigation
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including complaints
• Draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes
• Prepare clients for depositions and hearings
• Take and defend depositions throughout litigation
• Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions
• Attend court appearances
• Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases
• Direct and support investigations related to assigned litigation matters

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of personal injury law experience
• Strong background in personal injury litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
• Workers' compensation experience is a plus
• Strong written discovery skills
• Experience conducting depositions

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• California State Bar License
