A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Palos Hills, IL location.

 

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in domestic relations litigation, including initial consultations, legal strategy planning, negotiation of marital settlement agreements, allocation judgments, and litigation of various domestic matters. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to assist clients through the stress of litigation, along with excellent drafting and communication abilities.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct initial consultations with clients and develop legal strategies.
  • Negotiate marital settlement agreements and allocation judgments.
  • Litigate allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, maintenance, and property division.
  • Handle Pre & Post-Nuptial agreements.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and opposing attorneys.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage client stress effectively.

  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and opposing attorneys.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
