Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Miami, FL office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in employment law and litigation, with a proven track record in handling various employment-related claims and agency charges. The role involves defending and litigating employment disputes, advising and training employers, and representing clients in multiple forums.

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitrations in employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
• Draft, review, and manage legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Manage case files and maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement strategies for complex employment litigation cases.
• Stay updated on current state and federal agency procedures and legal developments.
• Collaborate with team members and work independently on various projects.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in employment litigation, with a strong preference for an employment law background.
• JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Current Florida Bar admission or the ability to obtain admission promptly.
• Strong understanding of current agency procedures (state and federal).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
