Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Coral Gables, FL is seeking talented Litigation Associate Attorneys to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with a strong background in civil litigation, specifically insurance defense and construction defects. The firm’s experienced team provides comprehensive legal services to a diverse range of clients, particularly architects and engineers. Candidates will take on a hands-on role, handling complex cases from start to finish with close mentorship from senior partners.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload and handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, legal research, and discovery.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare necessary reports.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategies and ongoing legal matters.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage client relationships and legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• Active membership in the Florida Bar and good standing.
• 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense or construction defects.
• Strong independent work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while handling individual responsibilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar License in good standing (Required).

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to think critically and work independently.
• Excellent verbal communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
