Duties:

  • Represent and advise public agencies, school districts, and educational institutions on legal issues related to education law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and agreements related to educational operations and governance.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda, briefs, and legal opinions.
  • Provide counsel on compliance with federal and state education laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Participate in administrative hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of educational policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on legal issues and developments in education law to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members on complex legal matters and cases.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of experience in education law or related fields.
  • Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
  • Strong academic record from an accredited law school.
  • Demonstrated interest in public agency and education law.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
