EOIR Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Dallas, TX, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Immigration Attorney to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to represent clients in various immigration proceedings, particularly before the Immigration Court, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing a caseload, advising clients, and collaborating with a team of legal professionals. This role offers a robust platform for career growth and professional development.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in both non-detained and detained removal proceedings before the Immigration Court, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Prepare and submit defensive immigration applications, including I-589, 42A, 42B, I-485, SIJS, and PD requests.
  • Review and file various USCIS immigration applications such as I-130, I-601A, and U-Visa.
  • Meet with clients to develop tailored strategies and provide legal advice.
  • Manage and lead a team of paralegals to meet client service expectations.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Strong ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward efficiently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with clients and colleagues effectively.
  • Experience in handling Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR proceedings, Detained clients, Citizenship applications, and other USCIS filings.
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Texas.

Skills:

  • Fluency in English; Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Solid understanding of immigration law, including familiarity with EOIR proceedings and USCIS applications.
  • Efficient organizational and time-management skills.
