Job Description

Duties:

  • Represent clients in bankruptcy cases and proceedings
  • Handle complex business disputes and litigation
  • Take depositions and appear in court on behalf of clients
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide sound legal advice
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies
  • Maintain and organize case files and documentation
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience as an associate attorney in bankruptcy law
  • Significant experience in resolving or litigating complex business disputes
  • Proven track record of substantial academic achievement
  • Prior experience in commercial bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings
  • Experience in taking depositions and court appearances
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand intricate legal issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional legal writing skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active and in good standing with the State Bar of Florida

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the state of Florida
  • Certification in bankruptcy law (preferred but not required)
