Matrimonial and Family Law Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Matrimonial and Family Law Attorney to join a dynamic team in Buffalo. The firm is looking for a passionate and self-driven attorney with a minimum of three years of experience in family law. Duties

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and related issues.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients, offering strategic solutions in complex cases.
• Prepare and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, and responses.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and participate in mediations and hearings as needed.
• Manage caseload effectively, ensuring timely and accurate progress of cases.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administrative staff to ensure clients receive high-quality legal services.
• Maintain open communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the legal process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing Matrimonial and Family Law.
• Must be licensed to practice law in New York State.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and effectively manage time.
• Proven ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts, especially in high-stress situations.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
