Duties:

  • Manage a wide range of complex business litigation matters, supporting clients through all stages of legal proceedings.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Perform in-depth legal research to support case strategies and prepare arguments.
  • Handle and manage e-discovery processes and workflows for large-scale cases.
  • Assist in deposition preparation, including creating outlines, exhibits, and strategizing questioning.
  • Represent clients in depositions and court proceedings when required.
  • Coordinate with senior attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies.
  • Ensure clear and regular communication with clients about case developments and legal advice.
  • Help prepare and analyze key case facts, conducting investigations as necessary.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in handling business litigation matters.
  • Strong experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Federal court clerkship experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle depositions, hearings, and courtroom activities.
  • Skilled in drafting legal documents, managing complex discovery, and preparing case outlines.
  • Must be eligible or already licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Demonstrated excellence in academic credentials.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record throughout legal studies.

Certifications:

  • Active licensure in North Carolina or eligibility for immediate licensure.

Skills:

  • Expertise in business litigation, including trial preparation and strategy.
  • Proficient in legal research, writing, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with managing large-scale e-discovery and case management tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
