A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney with substantial experience in international law to join its team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position focuses on complex international legal matters, including drafting contracts, advising on global trade, and addressing regulatory issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent analytical abilities, and prior experience working with international legal frameworks. Proficiency in a second language and overseas experience are highly desirable.

Duties

• Draft and review international contracts, corporate agreements, and related legal documents.
• Provide legal counsel on global trade, regulatory compliance, and data privacy issues.
• Advise clients on immigration matters and cross-border legal concerns.
• Conduct legal research and draft opinions addressing international legal frameworks.
• Collaborate with multinational corporations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed on international legal developments and emerging trends.

Requirements

• 1–6 years of meaningful experience in international law, ideally with a recognized international law firm, multinational corporation, or government entity.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and professional development.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Willingness to take the Utah State Bar exam if not already admitted.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
• Utah State Bar membership or willingness to obtain it.

Skills

• Proficiency in drafting contracts and corporate documents.
• Familiarity with international trade, immigration law, or data privacy regulations.
• Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Arabic) is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Experience living or working overseas is a plus.
