Job Overview
A leading law firm is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate to join its San Diego office. Duties

• Research complex legal issues and provide in-depth analysis.

• Draft legal memoranda, motions, and other court documents.

• Appear and argue at hearings in court and in arbitration proceedings.

• Draft and respond to written discovery requests.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Handle matters related to class action defense, complex contract disputes, business torts, trade secrets, and unfair competition.

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop litigation strategies.

• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on complex litigation such as class actions, contract disputes, and business torts.

• Strong academic record and excellent legal research and writing skills.

• Experience in arguing motions and participating in hearings and arbitration.

• Ability to take and defend depositions effectively.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior attorneys and clients.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be licensed to practice law in California.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in California.
