Litigation Trial Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Trial Attorney to join its dynamic legal team in Boca Raton, FL. This role focuses exclusively on litigation, allowing attorneys to refine their trial skills without the burden of pre-litigation responsibilities. Duties

• Manage a caseload of approximately 35-40 litigation cases, including personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, and property damage.

• Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants to prepare for trial, motions, and depositions.

• Represent clients throughout the litigation process, including pre-trial proceedings, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and jury trials.

• Conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses, draft pleadings, and argue motions.

• Handle all aspects of litigation, from discovery through settlement or trial.

• Participate in ongoing trial training seminars and professional development programs.

• Ensure excellent client communication and customer service throughout the case lifecycle.

Requirements

• Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a strong background in personal injury law.

• First-chair trial experience required.

• Experience in general litigation, motion practice, discovery, and depositions.

• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

• Experience with SmartAdvocate® or other case management software is preferred.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to client advocacy.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Certifications

• Florida Bar admission (active and in good standing).

• Trial certification or additional litigation training is a plus.
