Patent Attorney

A law firm in Memphis is seeking a Patent Attorney with 3+ years of patent prosecution experience to counsel clients on all aspects of intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent prosecution. The ideal candidate must be an active member in good standing of the Patent Bar.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients on intellectual property matters, focusing on patent prosecution.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Conduct patentability searches and provide opinions on patent validity and infringement.
• Advise clients on patent portfolio management and strategy.
• Assist with intellectual property litigation matters as needed.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of patent prosecution experience.
• Active membership in good standing of the Patent Bar.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Patent Bar.
