A law firm in Miami, FL is seeking a Real Estate Leasing Associate Attorney to primarily handle commercial office leasing arrangements for large, national, institutional clients. The role involves direct client interaction, the ability to work independently, and autonomy in managing assigned matters.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial office lease agreements, amendments, and related documents.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on leasing transactions, including issues related to landlord-tenant law, lease interpretation, and compliance.
  • Conduct due diligence, title review, and lease abstracting as necessary for leasing transactions.
  • Collaborate with partners, clients, and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes and efficiently resolve leasing disputes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and legal developments affecting commercial leasing practices.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York Bar is required.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in commercial leasing, preferably with a focus on high-end tenant representation in office leasing transactions.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate laws, leasing practices, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
