A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 4-9 years of experience to manage a caseload of approximately 30 cases from litigation inception through trial. The ideal candidate will supervise a full-time paralegal, possess strong knowledge of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure, and have experience in plaintiff's personal injury cases.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 30 litigation cases from start to trial
  • Supervise and collaborate with a full-time paralegal assigned to the attorney
  • Draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and prepare and respond to written discovery
  • Practice motions including drafting, responding, and arguing motions in court
  • Conduct jury trials and manage trial preparation and strategy
  • Provide oversight and guidance on case strategy and legal tactics
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and strategic advice
  • Negotiate settlements and handle mediations as needed
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements throughout the litigation process

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Colorado
  • 4-9 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on plaintiff's personal injury cases
  • Proficient in Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and litigation procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and manage deadlines effectively

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado
