Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of litigation experience to join its Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government investigations and complex business litigation, demonstrating an ability to thrive in a sophisticated and busy practice environment.

Duties:

  • Conduct and manage written and document discovery
  • Research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Interact with government agencies and prepare witnesses for testimony
  • Appear for status conferences and argue motions
  • Participate in mediation, settlement conferences, and negotiations
  • Prepare for arbitration or trial as necessary
  • Conduct internal investigations involving corporate compliance with government regulations
  • Defend corporate clients facing enforcement actions by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and other regulators
  • Prepare witnesses for government interviews

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of litigation experience
  • Experience with government investigations and complex business litigation
  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a busy, collegial environment

Education:

  • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
  • An active member in good standing with the Florida Bar

Certifications:

  • Membership in the Florida Bar
