This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative and supportive group of legal professionals dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for clients.

As a key member of the legal team, you will manage a caseload of personal injury cases, providing thoughtful and strategic advocacy while maintaining strong client relationships. Your expertise in negotiations, litigation, and case management will drive case success and client satisfaction.

Duties

  • Client Interaction:

    • Meet with clients to discuss their cases, show empathy, and establish trust.
    • Gather critical facts related to liability, damages, and insurance coverage to build a strong case.
    • Outline the next steps and coordinate with office staff to ensure the case progresses effectively.
  • Investigation and Case Development:

    • Direct investigations to collect evidence and assess insurance coverage.
    • Work closely with expert witnesses and other resources to strengthen the case.
  • Negotiation:

    • Strategize and negotiate for full settlement value with opposing parties.
    • Build and maintain relationships with adjusters while advocating strongly for clients.
    • Prepare for trial when settlement options are not viable.
  • Litigation:

    • Draft legal documents, including pleadings and discovery, in preparation for lawsuits.
    • Strategize trial preparations, including mediation and arbitration, when appropriate.
    • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Collaboration:

    • Review and sign off on correspondence prepared by team members.
    • Collaborate with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and case managers to ensure timely and efficient case progression.

Requirements

  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to a positive office environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to client service.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active state bar membership in North Carolina.
