This position supports a practice representing and advising various insurers on various coverages, including commercial general liability, commercial automobile, personal umbrella, freight forwarder, and professional liability policies. The ideal candidate will be adept at analyzing insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, conducting legal research, and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Duties

• Analyze insurance policies and determine coverage obligations.
• Draft detailed coverage opinions and legal memoranda.
• Conduct thorough legal research on complex insurance coverage issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Answer discovery requests and manage discovery processes.
• Take and defend depositions as needed.
• Manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Advise and represent insurers in coverage disputes and litigation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals in the firm.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance coverage law.
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret various insurance policies.
• Experience in drafting coverage opinions and legal documents.
• Strong research skills and familiarity with legal research tools.
• Experience in handling discovery and depositions.
• Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
