Duties

  • Provide counsel on retirement planning, charitable contributions, and insurance options.
  • Develop strategies for clients' estate and tax plans, with a focus on high net worth individuals.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings as necessary.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in estate and tax planning, particularly for high net worth clients.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in New York (required).

Skills

  • Proficient in estate and tax planning for high net worth individuals.
  • Experience with drafting Intentionally Defective Trusts, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Charitable Trusts, and Grantor Retained Trusts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to advocate for clients and develop comprehensive estate plans.
