Job Overview: A law firm in Kansas City, MO, seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage personal injury caseloads, interact with insurance companies, and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication and legal expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation claim process.
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to maintain positive relationships and provide updates on case progress.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as required.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all legal documents prepared.
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations in case handling.

Requirements:

  • Must have an active Bar license in Missouri.
  • Preferably 1 year of civil practice experience; active Bar license in Kansas is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to delivering superb, responsive, and compassionate client service.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and tech-savvy skills for legal research and case management.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal relations.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
