Job Overview:

A law firm in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Criminal / Traffic Lawyer to provide vertical representation of clients in criminal and traffic cases. This position involves offering legal advice and guidance throughout the legal process, advocating passionately for clients' rights, and negotiating favorable plea agreements. Duties:

• Provide vertical representation for clients in criminal and traffic cases, guiding them through each stage of the legal process.
• Advocate passionately for clients' rights and interests with unwavering commitment.
• Negotiate on behalf of clients to secure favorable plea agreements when appropriate.
• Represent clients in court by trying cases before judges and juries with a vigorous approach.
• Collaborate with other attorneys within the firm to leverage collective expertise and achieve optimal case outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and legal trends to provide accurate and effective legal counsel.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and legal opinions.
• Communicate regularly with clients to inform them of case progress and developments.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in Illinois and in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in criminal and traffic law.
• Demonstrated experience in courtroom litigation and client representation.
• Proven ability to negotiate and secure favorable case outcomes.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
