Job Title: Estates And Trusts Attorney

Job Overview:
A Baltimore-based law firm is seeking a mid-level attorney with demonstrated expertise in estates and trusts to join its established private client practice. This opportunity is ideal for professionals looking to deepen their knowledge in estate planning, administration, and succession strategies while working in a hybrid-flexible environment. The role requires an active Maryland law license and at least three years of relevant experience. Those with an existing client base are especially encouraged to apply.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on comprehensive estate planning strategies, including tax planning, succession planning, and asset protection.

  • Draft and implement estate planning instruments such as wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives.

  • Guide clients through the probate process, including preparation of filings for submission to Orphans’ Courts and Registers of Wills.

  • Assist with the administration of trusts and estates, including resolution of disputes and representation in related litigation matters.

  • Guide marital agreements and charitable giving structures.

  • Collaborate with clients on long-term planning involving family businesses and wealth transfer strategies.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice in Maryland and good standing.

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in estates and trusts law.

  • Ability to manage client relationships and conduct meetings independently.

  • Business development aptitude with a willingness to cultivate a personal client base.

  • Familiarity with related practice areas such as real estate or corporate law is advantageous.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Proven capability to meet deadlines while managing multiple matters simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active admission to the Maryland State Bar.
