Senior Trial Attorney

A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney with a Texas law license and a minimum of 5 years of trial experience in family law. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and collaborating effectively with a team of talented professionals.

Job Duties:

• Manage and lead trial preparation and strategy for family law cases.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing legal advice and guidance throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients' interests both inside and outside of the courtroom.
• Stay updated on changes in family law statutes, regulations, and case law.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of trial experience specifically in family law.
• Proven track record of successful trial advocacy and case management.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor junior attorneys.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Certifications/Skills:

• Board Certification in Family Law (Texas Board of Legal Specialization) is a plus.
• Experience in complex family law matters such as high-net-worth divorces, child custody disputes, and spousal support issues.
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is advantageous but not required.
