Mid- to Senior Level Product Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm in Cincinnati is seeking a skilled Mid- to Senior Level Product Liability Associate Attorney with a strong background in products liability defense, particularly with medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturer clients. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in handling both complex multi-district matters and individual cases, along with excellent academic credentials and exceptional communication skills.

Duties:

• Represent clients in product liability defense matters, particularly focusing on medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing and responding to discovery requests, taking and defending fact, party, and expert depositions.
• Engage in motion practice, including summary judgment motions and other dispositive motions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues related to product liability.
• Prepare for and attend court appearances and hearings.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, experts, and team members throughout the litigation process.
• Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients regarding product liability risks and litigation strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Ohio State Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a practicing litigator, with a focus on product liability defense.
• Experience with drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation matters independently.
• Former trial level clerkships are a plus.
• Scientific background or experience in medical device/pharmaceutical litigation is preferred.
