Entry Level Immigration Attorney

Job Overview: An esteemed law firm is seeking a motivated and passionate Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join their team in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Location:

• Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Duties:

• Explain immigration laws and present strategic solutions to clients
• Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage and prioritize a caseload of immigration cases
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers
• Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
• Review and revise immigration applications and packets to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding immigration law updates
• Meet with potential clients for consultations, assess their cases, and provide strategic guidance
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony
• Analyze cases and provide legal recommendations to determine the most beneficial outcomes
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration matters

Requirements:

• Demonstrated interest in immigration law through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships
• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission (or pending admission for recent law graduates)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward efficiently
• Experience with Case Management Software is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar admission (or pending for recent law school graduates)

• Strong understanding of immigration law and procedures
• Exceptional legal analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload
• Familiarity with case management software (preferred)
