Foreclosure Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation team. The role involves handling mortgage foreclosure cases from inception to resolution, including legal research, drafting pleadings, representing clients in court, and collaborating with other legal professionals to provide high-quality legal services.

Location:

• Chicago, IL

Duties:

• Independently manage mortgage foreclosure cases from start to finish.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Manage a caseload of foreclosure litigation cases while ensuring timely completion of all tasks and deadlines.
• Represent clients in court, including during trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal advice.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to deliver comprehensive legal services.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar and/or Indiana State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure litigation.
• Proven experience in handling litigation from inception to trial.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Familiarity with legal software such as LPS/Black Knight and Tempo (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar and/or Indiana State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong analytical, research, and writing capabilities.
• Proficient in foreclosure litigation procedures and case management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle complex litigation independently and efficiently.
• Familiarity with LPS/Black Knight and Tempo preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
