A law firm in Dallas, TX, seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters, from litigation to settlement. The role involves preparing legal documents, attending court appearances, and negotiating settlements. Strong experience in personal injury law and a Juris Doctor degree are required.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of various types of personal injury matters in litigation.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents for clients, including filing complaints.
  • Draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings.
  • Take and defend depositions throughout litigation.
  • Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions.
  • Attend court appearances as required.
  • Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases.
  • Direct and support investigation on all assigned litigation matters.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in Personal Injury Law.
  • Strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery.
  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • Current good standing with the CA State Bar.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Workers' Compensation experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Current good standing with the CA State Bar.

Skills

  • Proficient in managing personal injury litigation cases.
  • Excellent drafting skills for legal documents and motions.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Ability to take and defend depositions.
  • Effective communication and client preparation skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Worker's Compensation law is advantageous.
