The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, or a related field, with experience in handling patent matters. This position offers flexibility, allowing remote work for candidates with a minimum of four years of experience. The firm provides a collaborative environment and comprehensive benefits.

Duties:

  • Assist in preparing, drafting, and prosecuting patent applications related to biotech innovations.
  • Collaborate with scientists, inventors, and attorneys to manage patent portfolios.
  • Conduct patentability searches and analyze prior art.
  • Review and draft office action responses.
  • Provide strategic advice on intellectual property protection for biotech inventions.
  • Conduct freedom-to-operate and validity analyses.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • At least two years of laboratory research experience in biotechnology-related fields.
  • Strong understanding of patent law and biotech-related intellectual property matters.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Doctorate in immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Antibody-related experience preferred.

Certifications:

  • Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.
