Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation. The ideal candidate will focus on patent litigation, serving a national and international client base. Candidates with experience as federal judicial law clerks are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in complex intellectual property litigation matters, with a primary focus on patent litigation.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents with precision and clarity.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on patent law and other intellectual property issues.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
• Prepare for and represent clients in federal court, including managing discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Work with technical experts and advisors to support litigation efforts, including the development of expert reports and testimony.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in intellectual property law, particularly patent law.
• Manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing strategic advice and updates on litigation matters.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on patent litigation.
• Experience as a federal judicial law clerk is highly desirable.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Excellent academic credentials.
