Job Overview: A law firm in Hollywood, FL, seeks a skilled First-Party Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in first-party/property coverage matters. The ideal candidate will handle a caseload involving insurance disputes, focusing on representing policyholders in first-party claims.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in first-party insurance claims.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation from inception through trial or settlement.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences as required.
  • Collaborate with partners and associates on complex cases and strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar in good standing.
  • 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in first-party/property coverage litigation.
  • Strong understanding of insurance law and regulations, particularly in Florida.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Board Certification in Insurance Law by The Florida Bar (or similar).

  • Litigation experience with a focus on insurance disputes.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Negotiation and mediation skills.
