Job Overview
A law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing litigation team in Chicago. The firm is looking for an individual with strong litigation experience, particularly in general commercial and complex litigation matters, including product liability. Duties

• Handle general commercial litigation and complex litigation matters, including product liability and insurance litigation.
• Draft and argue discovery motions, as well as other legal motions.
• Take and defend depositions, manage document productions, and provide litigation support throughout the process.
• Lead case management efforts, working closely with clients and team members.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring their interests are effectively represented.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of meaningful experience in commercial litigation and complex litigation, including product liability.
• Experience with insurance litigation is a plus.
• Strong advocacy skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent case management abilities and a readiness to take leadership roles in cases.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to contribute to a growing office environment.
• Admission to and good standing with the Illinois Bar.

Education

• J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar required.
